Team Coaching
Our coaching programs are designed to target the development of specific competencies, service outcomes, and performance results. I enjoy working with team and group dynamics and harnessing the strengths within. I have extensive experience turning around teams that may be considered dysfunctional or who have gotten stuck in the old status quo.
Team coaching can include participants such as team leaders, clinical staff, project managers, case managers, peer workers and frontline staff. We can also build in ‘train the coach’ elements, i.e. the group receives training in coaching skills, experiences coaching with the trainer and follow up support applying their skills.

Staff Coaching & Mentoring
Individual staff coaching and mentoring is an effective staff development strategy to ensure staff at all levels achieve expected results. We typically start with an assessment of current competencies with the staff member and their manager to create a tailored coaching program with a plan targeting specific areas of competence and development.
Coaching and mentoring can also support succession planning and future carer progression. I am very passionate about building the capacity of workers and fostering the carer advancement of those who may underestimate themselves or who through workplace cultures real or unconscious bias are regrettably overlooked.
I am a firm believer that leadership qualities are not necessarily overt and brilliant future leaders are often under our noses or within waiting on someone to believe in their potential.

WHY LEADERSHIP COACHING?
Leadership coaching benefits the individual and organisation by:
1.
Enhancing performance. Coaching helps leaders more accurately examine their gaps and weaknesses, gain better perspective about their abilities and how to better make use of them. With the help of a coach, a leader can put their particular strengths to use in unique and unexpected ways and explore future career opportunities.
2.
Harness a growth mindset. Health and community organisations increasingly need to set and meet ambitious KPIs, identify trends and new opportunities, diversify funding and scale existing programs. Leaders need to build positive cultures and high-performance teams and strive for continuous improvement day-to-day as well as also for achieving more ambitious outcomes. Leadership coaching can assist in becoming more agile, bounce back from setbacks, and think strategically.
3.
A fresh perspective. We do not know what we cannot see. Taking a step back with an outside perspective can be extremely powerful when looking to make meaningful and lasting changes.
4.
Confidence. Being in positions of leadership can be lonely. Having a coach’s support while making meaningful changes, including celebrating wins, can positively impact a leader’s confidence levels. Learn to take positive risks and embrace audacious goals and innovation instead of being intimidated by them.
5.
Empower teams. Working with a coach can help those in leadership positions learn how to empower themselves and those on their teams.
6.
Job and life satisfaction. By taking the time to step back and clearly assess their approach to work and leadership, people can better prioritise where they put their energy improving work/life balance. This can lead to better performance, retention and increased job satisfaction for not just the leader but their teams.

MY APPROACH
I adopt a strengths-based approach to coaching sessions. I bring a balance of clinical, organisational and research/best practice perspectives. I am curious. I enjoy working with clients to unpack the project and leadership challenges they face. It is within complexity and change that I thrive, bringing a calm and considered approach. I am motivated to help clients understand the ‘why and what if’s’ including identifying roadblocks within the work environment and themselves.
I seek to understand my client’s working style and seek incorporate their learning preferences while introducing clients to alternative ways of working. Utilising discovery-based frameworks we examine from multiple angles to identify several actionable strategies and solutions for achieving their goals. I pay equal attention to reflective practice, new learning and self-care. I love to help someone identify their strengths and the next steps in gaining skills and experience and foster confidence and growth.
